This notice is to inform the public that the CCTS intends to terminate the participation of the below four participating service providers because there is reason to believe these companies are no longer providing telecommunications services that are within the CCTS’ mandate:
- Vodalink Telecom Inc. (o/a Vodalink Telecom);
- Telcan Inc. (o/a Telcan);
- Internet Papineau Inc. (o/a Internet Papineau Inc.); and
- TNEXT Communication Inc. (o/a TNEXT Communication Inc. & GoFibe).
Telcan Inc’s customers were acquired by Altima and Telcan Inc. is no longer providing telecom services under Telcan Inc. The CCTS can help with complaints about Altima.
Before terminating participation, the CCTS seeks public input on whether the companies may still be providing in-scope telecom or television services to customers, either under the name listed or under a new name. If so, as a result of regulatory requirements, the service provider must continue to participate in the CCTS. This means their customers can continue to submit complaints to the CCTS.
In the event the CCTS terminates their participation, service providers are still bound by certain requirements, including to abide by CCTS rules in respect to confidentiality and honouring any remedies that have resulted from prior complaints to the CCTS.
If you are still receiving service from any of the companies listed above, please notify us at StakeholderRelations@ccts-cprst.ca or call 1-833-691-1834.
