The CCTS intends to cease accepting complaints about a number of service providers

This notice is to inform the public that the CCTS intends to terminate the participation of the following service providers because there is reason to believe they no longer provide services that are within the CCTS’ mandate.

  1. Brama Telecom Inc.
  2. Giantel Inc.
  3. Green Sunsonic Inc.
  4. Horizon Solutions and Telecom Corp.
  5. ILink Communications Inc.
  6. MyOntario Telecom
  7. Portal One Systems Inc.
  8. SensNet Canada Inc.
  9. Talk Canada (Ontario Reconnect)
  10. Tata Communications (Canada) ULC
  11. Vecima Networks Inc.
  12. Manitoba NetSet Ltd.
  13. Questzones Inc.
  14. Mustang Technologies Inc.
  15. Pannu Phone Inc.
  16. Globalive Communications (19472244 Ontario Inc.)

Before doing so, the CCTS seeks public input on whether the company may still be providing in-scope telecom or television services to customers, either under the names listed below or under a new name. If so, the service provider must, as a result of regulatory requirements, continue to participate in the CCTS, which means customers can complain to the CCTS.

In the event the CCTS terminates their participation, the service providers will still be bound by certain requirements, including, abiding by the CCTS rules in respect to confidentiality and in respect to honouring any remedies that have resulted from prior complaints to the CCTS.
