This notice is to inform the public that the CCTS intends to terminate the participation of E-SatTel.ca Inc. (e-SatTel) and 1784150 Ontario Inc. (Tekdata Telecom) because there is reason to believe these companies are no longer providing telecommunications services that are within the CCTS’ mandate.
Before doing so, the CCTS seeks public input on whether either company may still be providing in-scope telecom or television services to customers, either under the name listed or under a new name. If so, as a result of regulatory requirements, the service provider must continue to participate in the CCTS. This means their customers can continue to submit complaints to the CCTS.
In the event that the CCTS terminates their participation, service providers are still be bound by certain requirements, including to abide by CCTS rules in respect to confidentiality and honouring any remedies that have resulted from prior complaints to the CCTS.
