Your role
As a Data Analyst, you will combine your technical expertise with strong business acumen to gather, analyze and report on data tied to the CCTS’ core business performance metrics. Your work will generate actionable insights that drive better decision-making and improve operational efficiency. You will extract, cleanse and analyze complaints data to solve business problems, automate reporting processes, and create impactful visualization dashboards using tools such as Tableau or Power BI. You will also design and deliver reports using enterprise tools like Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), conduct advanced data mining and statistical analysis, and support the preparation of CCTS mid-year and annual reports. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you will translate business needs into technical deliverables, present analytical findings and contribute to special projects as assigned.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong ability to present data findings and trend analysis in clear, straightforward language that supports decision making and helps communications team develop impactful content. They will be able to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines without sacrificing quality, while organizing and planning their own work effectively. They will work independently, taking initiative to innovate and solve problems, and will consistently deliver work to a high degree of accuracy. They will be skilled at analyzing information, drawing conclusions, and explaining complex concepts in plain language.
Must-have magic
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science or other related disciplines (relevant analytics training is a plus)
- At least 2 years of experience in data mining and analytics
- Fluent in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
- Solid understanding of basic statistics concepts
- Intermediate skills in Word and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel expertise
- Hands-on experience with Tableau or Power BI, plus SQL (including writing stored procedures) and Python or R
- Strong project management abilities and comfortable working with databases and data warehouses, with a grasp of related concepts
- Knowledge of the telecommunications or television industry in an advantage
